SERVICE DESIGN PROCESS

The design process consists of three main stages, these are shown below.

Stage1 - Gathering information

Stage one is ultimately about trying to get as much information from the client as possible in regards to what he/she wants on the website/logo etc. After payment has cleared we will send you a design form to fill in, we need you to fill this in as much as you can as every little bit of information will help us identify what it is you need done.

We urge you at this stage to give all the information you can, we will also need any content you would like on the website/logo etc. By content we mean text, images, movies, etc. You can give us some content later on in the project but the more we have now the quicker we can get the project underway and the quicker we can then deliver you the finished project.

We will need the form along with content to be emailed back to us within around 2-3 days, if you need longer that's fine but the sooner we can get this information the better.

Also during this stage we will research competitors, this will give us an idea of what they have on their site etc, we will also use this to research to find what keywords they are using and work out then what will be best to put on your website.

Stage 2 - Designing

Now we have most if not all the information needed and we have an idea about what kind of site/logo etc that you want we can now start designing, we will firstly create a very rough draft, perhaps not consisting of any information apart from dummy text, the idea of this is to merely get an idea of what the layout should look like along with colour etc. We will show you this draft to make sure we are on the same wave length, if you are happy then we will proceed and add to the draft more information, if you weren't happy with the original draft then we will amend what is neccessary and report back with an updated draft.

After some more progress has been made we will show you a later version of the design, this version should have a lot more content on it so the layout should really be taking shape. Again if you are happy we will continue with the design, if you are not then we will amend what you dislike. At this point we will stress that if you are planning on giving us any more content then we would need it very soon as we will now be looking at moving on from design to development.

We will produce one last design providing you were happy with the previous ones shown to you and if you are happy with this final design we will then begin to develop the site/logo etc.

The last design will include (if a website) a number of the pages, perhaps all the pages with most content and working links.

Stage 3 - Development

This will then be where all the design work is completed and the coding starts on websites, we will implement free basic SEO (Search engine optimisation) and make sure the site is completely accessible and error free. Any remaining content will be added and all the pages of the site will now be completed.

For logos, banners and buttons we will now look to finish off the project by adding any remaining content or amending any changes you requested.

When we feel the project is complete we will show you the finished version, if you are happy then the files will be sent to you either by email or via CD-ROM, if you feel there needs to be more added then we will continue to amend what you requested until you are entirely happy.

If you already have hosting then we can upload the files for you.
